  • About The Role

  •  We’re now looking for a passionate and dedicated Food Action Plan Delivery Officer to take the lead on delivering this exciting plan within West Oxfordshire. This ambitious strategy addresses critical challenges including food poverty, food supply resilience, climate change, and public health. Together, we have created a robust West Oxfordshire Food Action Plan to turn these goals into real, local impact. Some of your responsibilities include: 
    • Coordinate and own the delivery of the West Oxfordshire Food Action Plan, especially the Council-led actions, working closely with internal teams including our Climate team.
    • Build and nurture strong networks across the local food system.
    • Manage all administration, monitoring, and reporting of progress on the action plan.
    This is a new role which will cover West Oxfordshire. Within the District, there are plenty of places to see and visit whether you love hiking or cycling.  With our agile working ethos: you will be spoilt for choice.  

    You will need
    • Minimum NVQ Level 3 or A Level qualification and/or at least 3 years’ relevant experience.
    • GCSE Maths and English (Grade C/4 or higher) or equivalent.
    • Experience in food, sustainability, or community development sectors.
    • Proven project management skills, with experience delivering and evaluating projects and events.
    • Strong communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills.

    Special Conditions
    •  There may be a requirement to work at other locations to meet the needs of the business.
    •  Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes
